Sounds of the Ages

For this project, I was instructed to rethink the idea of a remix – without limitations.
What I have produced is an audio based timeline of the last century of human innovation and technology, which I have also created a simple film to compliment.

Using a collection of sounds and dialogue from each decade, pop culture, atmosphere recordings, news reports and documentaries, I was able to collate a 14 minute long piece which transitions from early 1900s street soundscapes to the industrial boom and online media.
